Although the vast majority of high definition programming is broadcast on UHF bands, approximately 9% of the total digital TV stations in the United States utilize the VHF band. It is important to note that most UHF antennas will pick up high VHF stations (channels 7-13) so a VHF antenna tends to be more important for those trying to reach low band (channels 2-6) stations.

This medium gain VHF style antenna is ideal for locations within 25 miles of the transmitters. It features 10 elements and a 7.8 dB gain for receiving higher band VHF signals (channels 7-13) as well as all of the major UHF signals (channel 14-69). It is a uni-directional antenna so it must be pointed towards the transmitters to achieve optimum performance.
