Capable of capturing HDTV broadcasts in their original, full HD quality, D-VHS is can record 50 GigaBytes on a single tape. Records approximately 4 hours of 1080i HD broadcast, or 8 hours of Standard Definition (SD), or 24 hours of LS3 (SD digitally recorded in MPEG-2 format) — great for digital archiving. In addition connect to the latest HDTV or high resolution projector using the HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface).
